Director of Marketing
Location: Philadelphia, PA (US)
Hybrid: 2-3 days a week on site (Philadelphia area)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the US portfolio and brand marketing strategy aligned to commercial objectives and patient needs.
- Lead integrated business planning, portfolio prioritisation, market assessment, and commercial strategy development.
- Create and execute omnichannel marketing programmes across digital and traditional channels, ensuring highly personalised customer experiences.
- Drive customer segmentation, audience targeting, CRM activation, digital engagement, and marketing automation strategies.
- Establish robust marketing measurement frameworks, ROI analysis, performance dashboards, and optimisation strategies.
- Lead commercial readiness and launch planning for pipeline products from pre-launch through lifecycle management.
- Own US market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunity identification.
- Oversee brand architecture, content strategy, agency partnerships, and content governance processes.
- Serve as a key member of the US Commercial Leadership Team, partnering across Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, Operations, and global stakeholders.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing organisation focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the US marketing budget, supplier relationships, governance processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10-15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences marketing experience with significant US commercial leadership responsibility.
- Proven success developing brand strategies and driving commercial performance across pharmaceutical products, including launch and in-market portfolios.
- Deep expertise in digital marketing, omnichannel strategy, customer engagement, and performance marketing.
- Strong experience using analytics, customer insights, and measurement frameworks to optimise marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Experience across CRM, marketing automation, segmentation, customer journey development, paid media, search, websites, email marketing, and field force integration.
- Strong understanding of US pharmaceutical regulations, compliance requirements, and promotional review processes.
- Demonstrated success managing substantial budgets, agencies, complex cross-functional programmes, and high-performing teams.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with media mix modelling, attribution, experimentation design, and advanced marketing measurement methodologies.
- Knowledge of AI, predictive analytics, next-best-action technologies, and personalisation strategies.
- Experience launching specialty, rare disease, or differentiated-delivery pharmaceutical products in the US market.
- Experience working within agile, high-growth organisations where strategic leadership and operational execution are equally important.
