Associate Analyst – Quality Control
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
What you’ll be doing
- Perform analytical testing of finished products and raw materials using validated methods.
- Conduct visual inspections and ensure lab cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
- Complete testing to USP, EP, and BP monographs with high Right‑First‑Time performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine instrument calibrations.
- Review internal and external laboratory data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in out‑of‑specification (OOS), out‑of‑trend (OOT) and failure investigations, recommending corrective actions.
- Revise QC SOPs and work instructions, ensuring documentation meets compliance requirements.
- Support QC systems such as stability study management, reference standards, and environmental monitoring.
- Prepare or review technical reports, method transfer documentation, validation protocols and reports (dependent on proficiency level).
- Uphold GMP, safety, housekeeping and company values at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years’ experience in a GMP analytical laboratory.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or two A‑levels/T‑Levels in a relevant science with multiple years analytical experience.
- Experience preparing and running HPLC assays
- Strong understanding of QC analytical techniques and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to document work clearly, accurately and independently.
- Effective communicator with good problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach.
