Warehouse Supervisor
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure that safe working practices are followed within the warehouse when loading/unloading transported goods and that authorised personnel only carry out these tasks.
• Ensure that the work is carried out without unnecessarily affecting the environment, either by plant personnel or personnel of third parties.
• Responsible for directing daily crewing, scheduling, determining and requesting overtime to address critical tasks.
• Notifying and reporting such (imminent) deviations in activities that might have a negative environmental effect, submitting proposals for improvement/prevention.
• Prepare correct documentation to accompany the goods being shipped as per the dispatch system.
• To ensure that all materials and products are stored according to clearly defined procedures in order to maintain their Quality.
• Ensure that the control and movement of goods is carried out in accordance with Company procedures and GMP/GDP.
• Have a good working knowledge of the storage equipment and liaise with Operations Manager and/or Engineering Department to ensure appropriate maintenance is carried out.
• Maximise warehouse space by optimum use of storage locations.
• To receive, check, and prepare documentation on incoming Raw and Packaging materials, updating computerised records.
• Creating pallet identification labels as per the internal procedure.
• Ensures daily housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Responsible for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) compliance, training, and provides direction and leadership to employees.
• Continuously looks for and helps to implement improvements to the process to improve productivity, quality and reduce costs.
• Undertakes such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time to support the department and business activities.
• Acknowledge responsibility to ensure an effective Quality Management System in order to achieve Quality Objectives.

Knowledge and Experience
•Education and Experience Typical Years of Experience-4-6 years experience
•Minimum Expected Education- Level 1/2 – GCSE Level qualifications
•Additional Information- Although education is important in the role, expertise is a major factor of being a Warehouse Supervisor.
A positive fit in the current team dynamics will also play a major role in selection for this position. Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience managing a team. Previous experience of supervising an Audit. Knowledge of SAP/EDMS (not essential).
