Commercial Business Partner
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Business partnering to facilitate key objectives of the business and support cross functional collaboration.
• Clear provision of Investment appraisal for business opportunities with scenario planning, highlighting key risks and opportunities, ensuring undertaken with rigour to enable effective business decision making to support business growth.
• Business Partnering with the commercial functions providing insight through clear and accurate variance analysis for
the UK and International markets, highlighting trends, challenges and business risks and opportunities.
• Provide key inputs into the commercial forecasts and finalising and providing commentary for period end and board
reporting
• Clear and accurate variance analysis of commercial overhead spend including FTE reviews highlighting key
movements and drivers.
• Establishes regular weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, prepares ad-hoc financial estimates,
budgets, and analyses with clear insight and commentary for board reporting.
• Evaluation of International distributor deals
• Evaluation of pricing and distribution opportunities in the UK
• Support with M&A business integration.
• Support with financial planning and modelling as required to support business projects.
• Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and presentation.
• Support on Ad hoc projects.
• BI Analytics reporting and system maintenance and improvements to meet the requirements of the business.
• Anaplan input and reporting to meet the requirements of the business.
Competencies
• Qualified accountant with 3 years+ PQE
• Experience of driving value through business partnering, and financial planning and analysis
• Ability to be located in our Leeds office
• Experience working with ERP systems, financial consolidation systems and BI/data analytics applications and implementations
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience of a similar role across several business units and in different geographies
• Pharma Industry experience, or experience of a highly regulated environment.
• Specific knowledge of the UK Pharmaceuticals’ Industry practices, pricing and governance principles would be an advantage.
Knowledge and Experience
• Qualified Accountant with 3 years+ PQE
• Degree educated
• Minimum 2 – 3 years+ PQE
• Experience of working in a similar role
• Experience of working in a Private Equity environment is extremely desirable.
