QC Stability Supervisor - Leeds
Reporting Lines
This position reports to the Quality Control & Stability Manager.
Main Function/Responsibilities of the Job
The day to day running of the Department ensuring Good Laboratory Practices are maintained throughout all Processes and Procedures. To ensure that any changes to the regulatory requirement for stability data are incorporated into the necessary protocols in a timely manner.
Primary Tasks
- To ensure staff are sufficiently trained in all departmental functions to the required standard.
- To ensure the proper maintenance of all appropriate records relating to both work and equipment operation.
- To ensure the Laboratory is kept to a high standard of Cleanliness.
- To be the first point of reference for grievance disputes or disciplinary actions within your department.
- To take an active role in the progress of the stability programmes, maintaining awareness of changing regulatory requirements and ensuring the stability study design is modified as required.
- To ensure that new methods of analysis are suitable for use within the stability department and, with assistance from Development, to resolve analytical problems as they occur.
Ancillary Tasks
- To communicate and liase with the Quality Control Manager new quality and efficiency issues within the department.
- To communicate instantly any problems/queries concluded by the Laboratory to the relevant areas within the company.
- To regularly review the Production Schedule with QC Chemistry in order to maximise efficiency of workload allocation.
- To keep up to date with current awareness by literature and attendance at appropriate meetings.
- To communicate effectively with Customers and Suppliers when the need arises.
- To maintain close contact with Regulatory Affairs, ensuring the stability study protocol reflects current requirements.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by your Area Manager from time to time.
