Who might have a problem swallowing solid medicines?

• Children
• The older patient 
• People who have had a stroke
• Those with a chronic, long term illness like Parkinson's Disease or Alzheimer's Disease
• Anyone undergoing radiotherapy to the neck or throat area
• People with a very dry mouth (xerostomia) due to medication or illness
